When I get a piece of clothing that’s versatile, comfortable and goes with just about anything, I will wear it everyday. This chambray shirt for example, I’ve literally worn it everyday for a whole week when I first got it. Do you have a piece of clothing that you just can’t stop wearing?
Since the announcement of Alexander Wang becoming the new Creative Director of Balenciaga, fashionistas, tastemakers, trendsetters alike were all salivating to find out what this union had in store. Above is just a taste of what’s to come and it’s just enough to leave us salivating for more. The sleek shape and classic design is a major detour from their signature motorcycle bag but it just maybe the reboot that the company has been looking for.
I signed up for Moda Operandi and in doing so they sent me a $250 credit to use on their site.
What’s great about this site is that instead of waiting for stuff to go on sale, they let you purchase items before it even hits the stores. You pay a deposit, which is 50% of the retail price of the item(s) you are purchasing, and then you pay the other 50% when they ship… kinda like when you hire me!
I had the esteemed pleasure of attending an official fashion show for New York Fashion Week!
I must say Proenza Schouler’s show was quite the show to attend. The nation, and the world’s, biggest tastemakers and trendsetters were in attendance. From Anna Wintour of Vogue , celebrity stylist turned reality star turned designer Rachel Zoe, Creative Director of Elle Joe Zee, mane-mogul Frederic Fekkai , singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, world class VJ turned style icon Alexa Chung to mega mogul Pharrell. You can’t help but feel inspired being surrounded by these fashionable people.
As for the collection? The designers outdid themselves… The collection was exquisite and workmanship was stunning.

With it’s tea length cuts, bias cut pleats and cement colors, each dress is oozing with style and flare and even more edge. This line is better suited for your style-maven-fashionista bride and definitely not your traditional bride.
For hair and makeup looks this season, I see a lot of voluminous updos (think lots of tease), smokey eyes or bright red lips being paired with these dreamy gowns.
If I had to pick my favorite fashion house, it has been, still is and forever will be Chanel. From their quilted handbags, classic tweed jackets and, most of all, their beaute products, Chanel can not do any wrong in my eyes.
It seems like it was just yesterday I was an artist for them. It was then with their uber pigmented colors, fragrant skincare and illuminating foundations that turned me into a true believer. So it comes as no surprise that I fell in love with the makeup for their SP2011 show. The looks were so edgy without being over the top. The exaggerated eyes, glowy cheeks and kissable lips… so my style
