Clarins Hydra-Essential Bi-Phase Cream+Serum

I travel a lot. Well, used to.  Even with the baby, I still manage to make the frequent jaunt down to Southern California.  You would think staying along the coast in the same state wouldn’t have much affect on climate or my skin but it does.  SoCal’s air quality is considerably drier, warmer and more smoggier than SF and the change in humidity and temperature, both on and off the plane, leaves my skin lackluster and dehydrated. Luckily, I received Clarins’ Hydra-Essential Cream and Serum just before my recent trip and was able to test it in the different climate terrain.

I’m of the oilier variety so anything lightweight and in texture is a major bonus for me.  My  skin really drank up the Cream and Serum and provided all day hydration as I went from indoors to outdoors, gorged on food and drove around different microclimates.

To apply, start with freshly cleansed skin. I like to use a cotton pad to apply toner to remove any residual makeup. It also  works well to quickly exfoliate any rough layer of skin. Then, I apply the Hydra-Essentiel Silky  Cream. Lastly, I use about 2 pumps of Hydra-Essentiel Bi-phase Serum and apply using patting motion. Some would argue that the serum should be applied first but I felt it left my face feeling sticky. For me, applying it after moisturizer quenched more moisture leaving my more hydrated and supple.

A must now in my travel bag!clarinshires-7

Hope everyone is off to a great start for the new year and great skin!

Aging Gracefully

Lesbionest.  There will get to a point in one’s life where all the prayers and wishful thinking can only do so much.  Sometimes, we must take matters into our own hands, or our doctors hands by that matter. By this, I’m referring to the 5 letter word that starts with BO and ends with TOX.  Sadly, or luckily however you look at it, it’s become a part of the aging process.

Before I delve any further, for me, there is nothing attractive about a 50 year old woman trying to look 20.  I love a woman who ages gracefully instead of looking picked a part and over injected with the latest thing to pass the FDA. I’m not encouraging anyone to go out and get injected or go under the knife but I’m an avid believer of people doing what makes them feel good but in moderation… as long as it looks natural.

I have really bad frown lines between my brows, as you can tell by the picture below.  It’s bothered me for years.  I used to think it was so cool when people scowled… like they were really trying hard to concentrate. My mom repeatedly told me “you’re face will freeze that way”.  I was 10 at the time and what did she know?  I mean hell freezing over seem more probable than me hitting my 30s.  Fast forward 26 years and whadda ya know?  Her words rang true.

Luckily, much of the world has evolved since my pre-teen years.  The iPhone was invented. We can get anything at the swipe of a finger.  You can even get butt implants now! More importantly, a mild form of botulism has been reengineered, FDA passed and  commercially marketed as  “botox”.  All to my benefit.  I’ll admit there are people who go overboard and think it’s the fountain of youth.  It’s not. I strongly discourage over injecting but a few injections here and there to prevent creating or deepening existing lines, I’m all for!  I’ve posted images below from my session with Emily Sespaniak of Horton Spa.  For the time being, I don’t see myself treating other areas of my face.  Don’t worry, I have thought about it but I was advised against it, from two different professionals, saying it wouldn’t improve my overall features or looks so I passed.

Any who, Emily is amazing and so gentle. You barely feel a thing. I highly recommend going to her if you are in the SF area or surrounding parts.  They also provide a full list of services here

Masks are all the rage but there is none more classic than the mud mask.   One of the most iconic masks of all time is Princess Borghese’s mud mask.  I remember in high school my mom’s friend was raving about the wonders of this mask and made me use it. I guess that was my first real taste into the world of masks but at 17 years old dropping $45 for a mask was a bit far reaching. Luckily, there are more options now, in terms of price and brands are getting more innovative with products and ingredients.  Innisfree has been my latest fave ever since converting to an all Korean skincare system.   The volcanic clay mask claims to contract pores, control sebum, exfoliate, deep clean, cool and brighten skin tone.   Definitely a good bang for the buck.

The Innisfree‘s no sebum powder may easily be one of the 3 best selling items from its line.  It’s finally milled, controls oil, absorbs quickly which prevents a thick cakey appearance.  Makeup Forever  is a also a great brand with more of a global presence and found at many major retailers.  Their HD powder is also a fan favorite and essentially serves the same purpose but at triple the price tag.

Dear Readers,

I apologize for the lack of updates. I’m alive and well as my Instagram will show.  I know I should keep up with this regularly and I promise you moving forward I’ll make some what of a better effort.

BUT! In other MUCH MORE exciting news, I’ve launched an online retail store specializing in Korean beauty products called YEPEAU.  If you haven’t heard, it’s all the rage right now.

Currently the site is carrying a wide range of products from low end to high end from skin care, masks to makeup. I know. I know. When it comes to this stuff it’s totally overwhelming and you don’t know where to start and, to make it worse, add a foreign language barrier. Ohshizz. BUT in a valiant effort to destress the situation, I’ll be accessible via WeChat @YEPEAU (Yes, this would be your cue to add it to your contacts). Since  most people don’t know where to begin or know what’s even remotely good, I thought I’d be accessible to answer your questions, concerns and make recommendations based on needs and skin type etc…  Plus, emails seem a bit dreadful. Right? Since I want to make this process more personable (at least until the business blows up), I’ll be answering questions and will be making my very best effort to answer in timely manner but if I’m working… well… you’ll just have to wait.   Yes, I’m still keeping my day job as a Makeup Artist Extraordinaire.  No, I don’t really call myself an Extraordinaire… other people do.

If you’re also wondering, I’ve curated the items myself as well as researched various top favorites from each of the various lines. I must say these products are awesome and some are SOOO affordable.  Now all this is accessible to you!

I’ve done the unthinkable!  After many years of loyal Makeup Forever HD Foundations usage, I have moved on. MUFEHD gave me a lot of good years but after much thought, I decided to test other foundations on the market. Think of this not so much as a  breakup but a “see you later” 🙂

My last visit to LA, I made a pit stop at Nigels Beauty Emporium for some “office supplies” and invested in the Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation line. After reading many rave reviews, I thought I’d finally test it out for myself.  Since this is for my kit, I need my foundations to adapt to a wide range of skin types and not specific to just one. I need versatility for oily and dry skin.  It needs to be lightweight but offers coverage. I need wearability as well durability.

As of now, I’m pretty happy with the results.  The product itself is pretty light weight and finishes a bit matte compared to other foundations. If I need more dewiness, I just finish with a spray mist (AmorePacific and Tatcha offer some pretty amazing options).  While I’ve just recently started using these products, being that the line is still new to me, I have yet to test it on a wide range of skin types. With that said, I’m pretty happy with the product so far.

Good stuff doesn’t come cheap. A 0.71oz tube of foundation comes along with a hefty price tag of $62. While it’s not exactly a “steal”, I do recommend investing in a good foundations over other makeup products.

Koh Gen Do available at Barney’s + Sephora

To use:

1 / Prep skin with toner, moisturizer and primer.  A good makeup application always begins on clean and hydrated skin.  Dry skin types will tend to absorb too much product.

2 / Prime.  For longer wear, apply primer on the areas of the skin were makeup will be applied.  This help with the durability of the foundation.  Think of it as a base coat when applying nail polish.

3 / Apply foundation where coverage is needed.  Do not apply an even amount of foundation across the entire face. I mean, if you really want to go right ahead but if you don’t want to look like day old cake, apply on areas such as the center of the face, primarily  underneath the eyes, apples of the cheeks, chin and nose…. apply small amount using your fingers or a beauty blender and work the product out ward.

4/ Set.  Finish an application of foundation with a dusting of loose or pressed powder to keep it in place an absorb any excess oils.

A while back, a friend of mine was the counter manager for Natura Bisse at a Neiman Marcus.  Since then, this line has been under my radar. At the time, she had given me some samples to try but I figured I was young, I had age on my side and 35 sounded like it was still centuries away. Fast forward 10+ years to wrinkles, age spots, discoloration and all the coulda shoulda woulda thoughts running through my mind when i look back at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. You begin to notice every microscopic blemish, fine line and sun spots that weren’t there before. The years of regret for my less-than-active approach to skincare and age prevention sink in. I shoulda started using sunblock. I coulda started skincare earlier. I woulda if I knew better.  Now, after the damage has been done, the goal is to correct my skin, hopefully,  to undo all the years of lacking care.

Additionally, the common misconception with skincare is that once you see the damage is when one should start being active with skincare. Truthfully, skincare is, more than anything, preventative. Instead of starting a skincare regimen after the damage has already been done, which is infinitely harder to correct, start a good regimen early on so that your unwanted friends stay away for as long as they can.

So to correct and fight aging… Here are some new things I discovered.Natura Bisse-5

Glyco Extreme Peel: I LOVE this stuff.  However, it stings and depending on the condition of your skin, some applications might sting more than others.  Just apply as instructed in the evening, let it set for about 15 minutes and wipe away with a warm damp towel.  I like to put the towel under hot running water then squeeze the excess water out… be careful because it will be hot.  Then, I lay it over the my face for a few seconds to allow the steam to open up my pores then gently wipe away peel.  Your skin never felt so smooth and supple.  Follow with your regular skincare regimen of toner, moisturizer and serum. But, the morning after is even better! On a side note, my freckles have lightened up a bit 🙂

Natura Bisse-1

White Diamond:  It’s a tinted, skin protectant with 50 SPF.  The closest thing I can compare it to is a BB cream. Due to the sensitivity of your skin to the sun when using the Glyco Extreme Peel,  this product is highly recommended. With the Glyco Peel, the results are instantaneous however just the nature of this product is not something you see immediate results with.

Natura Bisse-8

Natura Bisse-13

Essential Shock Intense Gel Cream: This is product also comes in a regular cream but due to the oiliness of my skin, the gel version was recommended to me.  This is a very lightweight anti-aging moisturizer that leaves a matte finish. This is a firming cream that maximizes the elasticity of the skin and with our growing age, we need as much elasticity as we can to fight wrinkles and sagging. Oh the joys of aging!  Use as recommended and follow up with a serum.

(praying that the fine folks at Benefit Cosmetics do not read this post)

While I love most things Benefit, this was certainly not one of them. When I buy a product, I really want to like it.  I really do.  I love makeup. I love experimenting with it. I love buying it. However, with this particular item and all the buzz surrounding it I had really high hopes. I mean with the success of High Beam, They’re Real Mascara, CoralistaPorfessional.. I mean the list can go on and on.

They’re Real Push Up Liner is, as the name suggests, a pushup gel liner in the form of a pen that’s suppose to be smudge and waterproof. While the idea behind it was inventive, I think somewhere between idea and execution something fell a bit short. Not to toot my own horn (toot, toot!)  but I would say I’m someone who is pretty skilled at applying eyeliner. Now, if it takes me a few tries to get accustomed to the product and a few more tries to actually to create a smooth line, I can’t imagine what it would be like for an average consumer, who is less skilled at applying makeup especially eyeliner. Initially, the product comes out a bit clumpy and a takes a few swipes on your hand to smooth out by which time you’ve already wasted a lot of product. Perhaps, if they replaced the rubber tip with a  built in brush it would create a more seamless and smooth result. Additionally, the staying power was underwhelming. In a matter of a few hours, from breakfast to lunch to be exact, the liner was everywhere but on my upper eyelid.

Lets just say if you perusing the aisles of  Sephora in search of a pen liner,  keep on walking past Benefit and go straight towards Stila’ Stay All Day liners.

I get it.  Everyone wants the the Kim Kardashian over highlighted over contoured look, which will be further referred to as KKK (Kim Kardashian Kontour). I think her makeup artist does a fabulous job at tightening, brightening and chiseling her already gorgeous face (I’m sure the botox doesn’t hurt either).  However, if I were to do this on my own round face on the daily… I’d look like a castaway in Lord of the Flies. I love subtly and so do my clients.  Don’t get me wrong, I contour too but I have a much lighter hand.  Enter Anastasia’s contour kit, a 6 pot highlight, setting and chiseling deliciousness of contouring heaven. You can either build your own palette or pick from the existing palettes that come in light, medium and dark.

What  I really like about this palette is that it’s build-able. All the products are powder so you can build intensity by simply the brush you use. The contouring can be as soft or as intense as you wish.  The KKK method uses a ton of concealer which results in a very full coverage that can lead to a thick and cake-y finish.  Another bonus to this palette is that it packs up nicely, it’s lightweight and doesn’t take up very much room which is always a plus for my kit.

Again, my face is round so I don’t like to create depth that isn’t there.  Instead, to soften the shape of my face, I use a blush brush to shade areas such as the temples, underneath the cheek bone and jawline. If I were to do the KKK, it’ll just look like someone drew a line on my face and forgot to wipe it off.  For the nose, I  run a eyeshadow crease brush, using a one of the 2 darker shades, from the inner brow, down the sides to the tip of my nose to build height.  Then for even more height,  I run Sand and Benefit’s High Beam down the center of my nose, starting from the center of the forehead down to the tip.  If i’m feeling extra sassy, I’ll use the eyeshadow brush to create a sronger contour.  For this post, I even doubled Sand (the highlighting shade) and Havana + Java as eyeshadow.

OBSESSED.  Seriously.  Why haven’t I discovered Anastasia’s Dipbrow sooner? Imagine the finish, softness and fullness of a powder but with precision that only a pencil can provide.  It’s workable and blends/brushes out quite nicely but it’s soft enough to glide on your brows AND as an eyeliner. For this post, I used the dark brown (see below).  The product itself  is very pigmented so use sparingly and with a light hand. You can always build the product but it’s seemingly more annoying to take it off.  The staying power is also quite nice. When you happen to pass a mirror, you’ll notice that half your brows haven’t mysteriously vanished.  Since most of my business is bridal, I’m a fan of anything that has a smooth application and durability to weather hours of heat and humidity.

Sulwhasoo Cushion Compact

I’ve been on this obsession with cushion compacts lately.  Check out my last post HERE on AmorePacfic’s. I thought Amorepacific’s was great but I may have found one that I like slightly better. Enter Sulwhasoo. This line has been the best kept secret in Korean skincare until now.  You may have seen this line in select Neiman Marcus & Bergdorf Goodman stores. Many Korean women would probably credit this line for their youthful and bright skin.

The biggest difference I found with this product versus their counterpart, AmorePacfic, is that there is more coverage and the finish is a little less dewy.  It is still dewy but not as much as Amorepacific’s and the coverage is comparable to a medium coverage foundation but with significantly more added benefits (listed below).  As mentioned in the previous post, I’ve eliminated foundation from my daily routine since using the cushion compacts.

The only drawback I would find is that they only make 2 shades in these compacts. If you fall into a darker shade then you’re essentially out of luck.  Since this is a Korean brand they produce products for the Korean/Asian markets, which generally fall in to the fair and less fair complexions.  Since they are getting into more global markets such as the US and Europe, I’m hoping they start producing for the global market by adding 2-3 darker shades.

To USE:   Apply after skincare, sunscreen and BB cream.  If the finish is too dewy, dust a little pressed or loose powder on the top to set.

I love how Korea has been so innovative with the entire cosmetics industry.  They really are at the forefront of beauty technology and that’s because demand for the latest and greatest is so high there.  Women are always looking to improve their skin and the way it appears.  First, there was the BB cream. Now, enter Cushion Compacts.  It’s essentially a liquid product soaked in a sponge which makes traveling with so much easier.   In fact, since I’ve started using the cushion compacts, I’ve eliminate liquid foundation from my routines. The cushion compacts always includes a refill and offers a light dewy coverage, that I like, but for those who want a matte finish just set with a little loose or pressed powder.

Here are some added benefits of the AmorePacific’s Cushion Compact (via amorepacific)

To USE:   Apply after skincare, sunscreen and BB cream.  If the finish is too dewy, dust a little pressed or loose powder on the top to set.

If you haven’t heard by now, YSL Rouge Pur Couture #52 lipstick is the hottest thing on the market right now and it’s  more impossible to track down than an “original” Cronut (read The Cut article here). The color was made wildly popular by Cheon Song Yi, played by Jeon Ji Hyun, in the hugely popular drama series My Love From Another Star (aka You From Another Star). Cheon Song Yi is probably the Korean, maybe even the Asian, equivalent to Carrie Bradshaw.  Expect everything she dons from the shoes, the bags, to the clothes even all the way down to the lipstick to sell out… and sell out quick. In fact, the lipstick was so high in demand it sold out in all international markets and was event listed on ebay for 3 times the price! I may or may not have considered buying it at the ridiculously marked up rate but quickly came to my senses.

Luckily for me, I was able to get my hands on a few tubes, at retail value, and what better way to spread the beauty with my readers than doing a giveaway! After all, sharing is caring!

Another product I picked up from famed makeup artist Jung Saem Mool‘s makeup line, MULE, is the Finger Fixing Powder.  The design of the product is unique.  It combines the tool, in this case a powder puff or brush, and the powder into one easy product.  By omitting the need of a third item, you’ll find that you save time and a little extra room in your makeup bag.

Note, this a a highlighting powder rather than a regular setting powder. Although this product does absorb oil, it has a brightening agent in it which should be dabbed on the areas you want to highlight. To use, give the product a gentle shake and the powder will come up to the surface of the built in puff.  Apply using a light dabbing motion in areas such as the forehead, underneath the eyes, upper cheekbones and chin. If you happen to apply it all over the face, the result might be a bit ghostly.

Tutorial | Bright + Dewy Skin

After watching the Korean drama My Love from Another Star, I’ve been obsessed with bright dewy skin. The leading lady, played by Jun Ji Yeon, also known as Gianna Jun, was literally radiating light from within.  I have never seen such radiant glowy complexion in my life!  Naturally, I became obsessed with chasing what little I could of this starlet’s signature look, which leads me now to sharing my my step by step tutorial and product list in achieving said look.

1 /  Etude House CC Cream // apply a small dab on the forehead above the center of the brows and underneath the center of eyes at the top of the cheek bone.  Use fingers to and gently work outward, in a swiping motion, to the the upper cheek bone and out towards the temples.   this is where light would naturally hit the face.

2 /  Etude House BB Cream // repeat the step above and to any blemished areas.

3 /  Amore Pacific Cushion Compact // this compact leaves a dewy finish with just the right amount of coverage.  dab in areas that need more blending of color.

4 /  Amazing Concealer  // apply on the sides of the nose, blemishes and  underneath the eyes, getting as close to the lash line as possible.  use a dabbing motion to work it well into the skin.

5 /  Laura Mercier Pressed Powder  // set the base using a powder brush.  this step helps the product from running.

6  / Benefit’s High Beam //  apply to the areas that light will naturally hit the face… down the center of the nose, center of the forehead, upper cheek bone, brow bone and underneath the eyes.

7 /  Finish off with your favorite cheek and lip color.

Next up may have to be a video tutorial.

Product Review | MULE Foundcealer

My favorite makeup artist hails from my home country of South Korea.  Jung Saem Mool single handedly started the dewy no makeup makeup look with the semi bright stained lip.   Her signature look has been copied all across Asia and I am so a guilty of it.  She is as much a household name as the star studded clients whose faces she graces.  Some of her clients include some of Asias’s biggest names…Boa, Tae Hee Kim, Tang Wei, Ji Woo Choi and Hyori just some of her very regular clientele.  She came out with her own line MULE (Make your own rule). So during my last stop in Korea, I had to stop in and check out some of her items.  While she doesn’t exactly have a full line, I have become a fan of her signature products for their innovative technology and packaging.

The Foundcealer is medium coverage compact foundation that comes with a concealer and brightener. The compact comes in two shades, 1 & 2, most of ladies of Korea will likely fall under shade 1, however there is big color difference from 1 and 2.  I think I fall in between 1 & 2 because the 2 seems to be pretty dark and very yellow/olive.. which is a bit harder match.  Design of the packaging is on the bulkier side but then again you are getting the ease of 3 products in 1.  The push button technology dispenses the perfect amount of product onto a built-in palette which makes mixing the concealer and brightener easy and mess free.

As for the coverage, it’s great.  Lightweight. Good coverage.  Very pliable and easy to work with.

Compare the two eyes… the left eye w/ circle lens and the right w/ojane_077

Both eyes with circle lensjane_080  jane_079

Circle lenses are a hot trend in Asia so I picked up a pair in Seoul.  They had a pretty wide price range to choose from, the more expensive options costs up to $80.  I was told the main difference was the comfortability but since I wasn’t sure how I often I would be sporting these, I opted for the cheaper pair, which cost just less than $10 (usd).   After trying them on for the first time, I kind of wish I had sprung for the more expensive option since the pair I picked up were quite uncomfortable. Keep in mind, that I don’t wear glasses or contacts, so having something foreign laying on top of my eyeballs does take some getting use to.

Verdict? While I do like the look on certain people and it does make my eyes look bigger, it still looks pretty abnormal for me. I’d say they are fun to wear occasionally especially with heavier eye makeup to balance the look.

Tutorial | Etude House Strawberry Foam Rollers

How adorable are these strawberry foam rollers from Etude House that  I picked up in Korea?   These rollers are so fun  and easy that i decided to do a step by step tutorial! Etude House Strawberry-2Etude House Strawberry-4

1) Start with semi-damp hair.  For better hold,  apply a bit of mousse all over the hair.jane_084

2) Grab small sections and begin twisting.jane_086

3) I like to place the roller closer to the root and being wrapping the hair into the roller.  When done wrapping, make sure the roller is secure otherwise use a pin to hold the roller in place.jane_087

4) Continue this step until all hair has been place in the rollers.jane_088 jane_090

5)  Set it and forget it. Because the hair was damp, it may take some time to dry.  Try doing this at night or at the very beginning stage of your getting ready process.  Otherwise, use blow dryer to speed up the drying process

6) Remove the rollers. If you find the waves to be too curly, use a your hands and smooth out the hair by running your fingers through it.jane_095

7) To finish the look, using a texturizing or smoothing product to smooth out the ends.  jane_097

On my last trip to Seoul, I realized that I really needed to step up my skincare game.  Skincare in Asia is no joke!  In the States, woman are concerned less about taking care of their skin and more about products that go on top of their skin to conceal it. Beautiful porcelain skin is highly sought after in Asia and many women go to great lengths to achieve it whether it be with laser treatments, products, facials or any advanced new technology available on the market.  But for a much cheaper, and less invasive, option many women opt for the over-the-counter solution which, typically, involves an 8-10 step routine of cleansers, oils, toners, creams, serums, patches and masks all promising, and marketing towards, the key words… whitening, brightening, collagen boosting, age defying, radiant, dewy, youthful glow.   When you’re caught in the thick of it, it’s hard not to fall victim to the promise of perfection and Fountain of Youth results. jane_003

Product Review | The Face Shop mascara + brows

The Face Shop  Clear Mascara +  Design My Brows

The Face Shop is one of my favorite cosmetics stores in Korea.  The line is VERY affordable and their outlets can be found everywhere in Korea. They offer wide range of products from cosmetics, skincare, nail care and beauty tools.  It’s very popular amongst women of all ages and even a great deal of men use their skincare systems and cosmetics.

On my recent trip, I discovered my favorite eyebrow pencil of all time!  The angled pencil creates a brush like stroke which leaves powder-like results. I usually use a 2- step system, brush and shadow to create a full natural look for the front part of my brows and then a pencil to shape and define the ends of my brows usually that shadows aren’t able to achieve.   Now, my 2-step system is whittled down to just 1.  I’m  always a fan of using less steps, products and saving time!

Quick Tip:  Clear mascara is great to tame brows and lashes. However, another great use of clear mascara is to use as a sealant for eyeliner and shadow.  This trick helps prevent, the unattractive, running and smudging of eye makeup.  It’s important to use sparingly as too much can cause it to flake.

Until next time!

Product Review | Hakuhodo Brushes

Available at Hakuhodo

On my trip to Japan, I stopped by the Hakuhodo counter at Mitshukoshi Department Store in Ginza, Tokyo.

These brushes are quite luxurious and the bristles are ultra soft to the touch.  They had 3 different lines to choose from ranging from a basic line all the way to their flagship line, the S-series.   I grabbed a few brushes from the S-series line which is mostly made of goat hair bristles and a few made of squirrel.  The wooden handle is painted in a beautiful vermillion color, which is said to be a traditional Japanese color, and plated in 24 carat gold.

My Hakuhodo brushes are some of my favorites of all time, words don’t do enough justice when it comes to describing how soft the bristles are.  However, I do have a single issue with some of the brushes.  It’s only the case with the a couple of the brushes I own but when I wash it in water the dye tends to bleed leaving a big stain on  the my towel.  The dye does come off in the wash, however, it’s not an issue I want to be dealing with.  Nonetheless, these brushes are great! If you can stand a little dye bleeding on your town and you’ll be very happy with these  these brushes.

Product Review | Molton Brown Lip Saver

MB Lip Saver-1 MB Lip Saver-2 MB Lip Saver-3

Those that know me know that I’ve been a die hard Kiehl’s Lip Balm fan since the moment it laid a big fat one on my parched lips.  But after I lost my 3rd new tube, in a matter of weeks, I found myself rummaging fanatically through my makeup drawer for something, ANYTHING, that would relieve me of my worst case of chapped lips since… forever!

Voila! I must’ve received it in a swag bag, once upon a time, because i haven’t the faintest memory of buying it. But, as soon as my lips touched this magically delicious potion, it danced for joy! The texture is a bit thicker than my once beloved Kiehls, and, dare I say, more healing?  Since it’s not as thin as the Kiehls, it lasts much longer on the lips.

A full size tube will set you back $18.   And just like the number of other lip balms I failed to locate, I eventually lost that one too. Luckily for me, I have awesome friends.  In fact, so awesome that they bought be a new one (pictured)!
