Got it in the bag

I’ve been, for a while now,  in the market for a nice designer handbag.  But, now that I’ve come to the point where I’m ready to pull the trigger, I just can’t decide on ONE bag.  The problem is that I want a bag that embodies sleek sophistication while equally being comfortable and durable.   I want something pretty yet some thing that’s easy to stuff,  travel with and easily throw around.

Here are my top options:

1) Celine Luggage Tote-  I didn’t love with this bag when I initially saw it.  Now, that I’ve been seeing it more it’s grown on me.  I like it because it’s structured and great as an every day bag but I can’t decide if I like it because I genuinely like it or because everyone and their mama has one.  I do thinks it’s great and fits both my requirements, but  I just can’t tell if this style will stand the test of time.

1) Givenchy Nightingale Large - This bag recently caught my eye.  I like it because it’s slouchy and comfortable.  I  can pretty much throw in the kitchen sink and be ok.  It looks casual but with a slight edge. I’d definitely use this bag everyday and am pretty sure that my cost per use would, undoubtedly, be the lowest.

3) Chanel Classic Flap in Caviar – I’ve been lusting after this bag for some time now and know this bag can stand the test of time, it has since 1955, but in all honesty,  I can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on this $5000 bag.  I know this is an investment piece that I can have for many, many years but with such a steep price tag… I just can’t do it.  With that said, this is a great bag that can be worn both dressy and casual but due to it’s size, I don’t think it would make a great everyday bag.

Conclusion? I need to get 2 separate bags to serve the purposes I want.  So the question now is , do I get the one I’d get the most wear out of or the one that’s twice as  expensive and love?  HELP!
